HSO CDR Brad Austin was presented the District Six Governor’s Award by Brigadier General David Rubenstein

 
 

 

CDR Brad Austin

On March 30, 2006 CDR Brad Austin was presented by Brigadier General David Rubenstein, the District Six Governor’s Award at the Congress of the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE) in Chicago, IL. District Six is comprised of the Uniformed Services and the Veterans Administration.  CDR Austin is the first USPHS officer to receive this prestigious award and was recognized for his contributions for expanding ACHE’s presence in the Public Health Service. This year, CDR Austin serves as the Chair of the Health Administration Professional Advisory Group, part of the Health Services Professional Advisory Committee. For the past several years, he has volunteered his leadership to ACHE by leading facilitated discussions to junior officers and their civilian counterparts in preparing for their Board exams. CDR Austin is Board certified in Healthcare Administration by the American College of Healthcare Executives.
